SANASTY SL – CAR RENTAL TERMS 

Sanasty Car Hire leases the vehicle subject to the terms and conditions established by this contract. The leaseholder is considered to be informed of its content. Please read carefully and let us know if you do not understand or agree with any of the points in the contract before you accept it.

Driver Requirements

Drivers must be at least 23 years old, hold a valid driving licence (minimum 2 years), and present valid ID. Only registered drivers may operate the vehicle.

 

Vehicle Collection & Return

Vehicles must be returned on the date and time stated on the contract, at the agreed location, and in the same condition as collected. There will be a late return fee of €20 per 30 minutes (airport) or €100 per day.

Cars collected and returned to two different locations will incur an extra charge of €25.

Fuel Policy

The vehicle must be returned on the same fuel level stated on the contract. Missing fuel will be charged at market rate plus service fee of €25. Misfuelling by putting incorrect fuel in the vehicle incurs a minimum charge of €350.

Use of Vehicle

The vehicle should be returned in the same condition it was collected. It must not be used for loading, commercial purposes, illegal/criminal activities, off-road driving, racing, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Only legal parking in white lines is permitted. Parking on yellow lines, yellow gris, loading bays or in front of garages and in disabled bays restricted to a specific car are not permitted. If the police tow the car away for incorrect parking, it is the leaser’s responsibility to recover the car and pay any fines or costs involved.  

Keys and Vehicle Accessories
The Hirer is responsible for the safekeeping of the vehicle keys and all accessories provided with the vehicle, including (but not limited to) parcel shelves, spare wheels, tools, warning equipment, and documentation.

• Loss or damage to keys will result in a replacement charge (including recovery and reprogramming costs where applicable).
• Missing or damaged accessories will be charged at replacement cost.
• If keys are lost and recovery of the vehicle is required, all associated costs (including transport and assistance) will be charged to the Hirer.

Cleanliness

Drinking, eating, smoking, drugs and pets/animals are strictly forbidden inside the vehicle. Failure to comply with this as well as excessive dirt or stains may result in a cleaning charge of up to €120. 

Insurance & Excess Policy

The vehicle is fully covered and legally insured under Spanish Law and Rent a Car compliances. If the leaser has an accident that is their fault, they must pay an insurance excess relevant to the vehicle size and type within 24 hours. If the driver is at fault:

• Small/Medium cars: €500 excess
• Large vehicles: €700 excess

In case of an accident 

Regardless of the level of insurance taken the following procedure must be followed in case of accident:

Do not admit fault

Complete an official report. Failure to complete this form will void the insurance and will result in an excess charge of up to €5000 whether it was the leaser’s fault or not. Failure to comply may result in full liability.

Damages

We recommend you take photos or videos of any pre-existing damages to the vehicle when you first collect it (photos are dated and time-stamped).

Breakdowns
Contact Sanasty immediately (0034609101401) and stay with the vehicle until help can be given. Mechanical issues not caused by misuse are covered. Replacement vehicles are not guaranteed.

Fines
All traffic fines, including speeding tickets, parking tickets & traffic violations, are the driver’s responsibility. There will also be an administrative fee of €25. Fines will be forwarded to the leaser’s home address (that we will provide) by the authorities. Sanasty SL will not pay any fines for clients. 

Theft & Belongings
Personal belongings are not insured. All items left unattended in the vehicle are the responsibility of the leaser. Damage such as smashed windows or door lock damages due to negligence or belongings left visible will be charged, even if full insurance has been taken. 

Contract Extensions

If the leaser wishes to extend the hire, then agreement must be made with the office, and additional payments must be paid in advance. 

Payments

Sanasty SL accepts payment by cash, debit or credit card excluding American Express. Cards do not need to be in the name of the driver.

General Conditions

Mileage: Unlimited (unless stated)

Vehicles cannot leave the island without permission

Additional drivers must be registered

Extensions must be paid in advance

Important Advice
Inspect and photograph the vehicle at collection to record any existing damage.

The full insurance (damage waiver) does not cover the following:

• Loss of or damage to the vehicle key 
• Loss of or damage to vehicle accessories 
• Incorrect fuel being put into the vehicle 
• Cleaning costs resulting from smoking, eating, or drinking in the car 
• Damage following a break-in when personal belongings are left visible inside the vehicle 
• Tyre damage caused by impact with objects or potholes resulting in sidewall damage (punctures are covered) 
• Traffic fines, including parking and speeding violations 
• Use of the vehicle by unauthorised drivers 
• Damage caused by negligence, including driving off-road or under the influence of alcohol or drugs 
• Failure to follow the required accident or damage reporting procedures
